Program Description
Emiraza College’s Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program in Fort Pierce, Florida is designed for students who are ready to pursue a professional nursing career with purpose and direction. In 90 weeks, This 74-credit, residential program is designed to prepare students for entry-level registered nursing with the knowledge, clinical skills, and confidence needed for real-world patient care.
Emiraza College also offers a pathway for licensed physicians who wish to transition into the nursing profession. Qualified applicants may receive block transfer credit and complete the program in approximately 18 months, or about 78 weeks, depending on eligibility and transfer credit evaluation.

Registered Nurses play a central role in patient care. They assess patients, monitor health conditions, create and carry out care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and respond to changing clinical needs across hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community settings. RNs also help promote safety, support recovery, manage chronic and acute conditions, and guide patients through every stage of care.

Students train in a focused, supportive environment with experienced nursing faculty while developing skills in clinical judgment, critical thinking, patient safety, medication administration, health promotion, mental health, maternity, pediatrics, gerontology, and care for acute and chronic conditions. Program Structure
The ASN curriculum begins with general education and prerequisite courses such as English Composition, College Algebra, Public Speaking, Psychology, Sociology, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Growth and Development, and Microbiology. Once those requirements are completed, students move into the nursing concentration, which includes Nursing Fundamentals, Health Assessment, Pharmacology, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Community Health, Psychiatric Nursing, OB/Maternity/Newborn Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Nursing Leadership, and Patient Education. The program combines classroom theory, lab practice, and supervised clinical learning to build both knowledge and hands-on skill.
