Program Description
Our Master of Science in Nursing – Nursing Education program is designed to prepare advanced-practice nurse educators who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and professional values necessary to advance nursing education, promote excellence in teaching and learning, and contribute to the development of a competent and diverse nursing workforce. The program emphasizes evidence-based practice, ethical leadership, scholarly inquiry, and learner-centered pedagogical strategies to support high-quality nursing education across academic and practice settings.
The Master of Science in Nursing Education will prepare students to teach a new generation of nurses. The program is designed to provide advanced academic training for individuals employed or planning to seek employment as nurse educators in school, hospital, community, and workplace settings.

The Nursing Education program requires 45 semester credit hours and is delivered residentially. The credential awarded is a Master of Science, and the program is designed to be completed in 60 weeks.
Students complete advanced coursework in theoretical foundations, applied pharmacology, pathophysiology, health assessment, advanced evidence-based practice, healthcare policy and economics, research methods, role development for the nurse educator, core concepts in nursing education, practicum experiences, and capstone study. The curriculum is designed to support strong preparation for teaching, curriculum design, and learner development.
Program Objectives
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Midwifery program, the graduate will be able to manage the care of women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, apply leadership skills, incorporate health promotion and disease prevention, and use research, statistics, and epidemiology to support midwifery care. The program also emphasizes effective communication, evidence-based practice, health informatics and emerging technologies, NARM standards of practice and code of ethics, and contributing to the profession of midwifery at the local, state, and national levels. In another words, a BSM degree can help you move up to a faculty role or build a solid foundation to becoming a midwife researcher.
Admissions Requirements
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an approved nursing program, submit official undergraduate transcripts translated and evaluated if from outside the United States with a GPA of 2.5 or better, and hold a current unrestricted RN license from a state within the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
